Xiaomi, a company well known for the budget device has launched the most budget-friendly selfie smartphone in India with MIUI 9 Global ROM. They have almost taken over the price range of below INR 15,000. This time along they have made their entry into a new segment which is the most trending one in India market. Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Y series and has launched two new smartphones one is Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite which is considered a cheaper variant.
Both these handset are a budget smartphone with a good selfie camera. The Redmi Y1 has been launched in two variants one is a 3GB and 32GB storage which is priced at Rs. 8,999 and the 4GB + 64GB variant device comes with a price tag of Rs. 10,999.
Coming to the specs Redmi Y1 is Xiaomi first selfie camera smartphone. It has a 16MP front-facing camera with selfie light which can be used in low-light conditions, Beauty 3.0 which will enhance the natural colour. On the rear is a 13MP shooter with f /2.2 aperture, it supports different modes and real-time filters. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 2 different variants. It sports a 5.5inch HD display with 2.5D glass and Gorilla Glass protection. The best thing about the device is that it now comes with a two Dual-SIM capability and one dedicated microSD card slot. This could be good news for those who need a lot of storage for capturing moments. The fingerprint scanner is on the back of the phone. The battery on the smartphone is a 3080mAh battery which can last up to a day long. The handset will run on MIUI 9 based on Android 7 Nougat out of the box. Xiaomi has worked hard on the device to make it one of the best in-budget selfie smartphone.
