Last MIUI update for these Xiaomi phones

During the latest Global launch of MIUI 9, Xiaomi made a huge announcement about the fact that the latest MIUI update will be rolled out to the devices which are even 5-year old. All the Mi fans were excited about the fact that their age-old devices would be still getting the feature-rich MIUI 9. Now, within a couple of weeks, after Xiaomi announced on there MIUI forum

At the MIUI 9 Global launch, Xiaomi highlighted the fact that even 5-year-old phones including Mi 2/2S are still getting weekly MIUI updates and will also get MIUI 9 Global Stable update. Now, within a couple of weeks, Xiaomi made an announcement on there MIUI Forum saying that MIUI updates will be suspended for the below devices after the MIUI 9 update.

Devices which are included in this are,
•Mi Note
•Mi 2/2S
•Mi 4i
•Redmi Note 4G
•Redmi 2
•Redmi 2 Prime

Here is the Post from MIUI Forum admin in which he clearly mentions everything about the last update.

Dear MIUIers,

MIUI ROM has been updated regularly ever since its first version was released. And MIUI Team has been committed to providing the best experience to users of all devices. Therefore, MIUI performance is constantly improved to deliver a better and better system experience to all users. However, to ensure the best performance of MIUI, we have to make a tough decision of suspending the update of 6 devices after a long-time discussion and evaluation about the release time of devices, active users, hardware performance, etc.

MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM (closed beta and public beta)

After November 17th, 2017, update for the following 6 devices, namely, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, and Mi Note will be suspended, both closed beta and public beta. MIUI Global Beta ROM 7.11.16 is the last beta update for the above devices.

MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM

MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for the above 6 devices and Redmi 1S will be released gradually from December 2017 to January 2018. For users of the above devices who have flashed to MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, we will provide methods to flash to MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM, please stay tuned to the forum.
