Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launched in China, offers a true bezel-less display with Slider

After a year from the launch of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the company has finally launched its latest flagship and next generation of true bezel-less display smartphone Mi Mix 3. After several leaks and social media posting about the new Mix, the smartphone has officially launched. Learning over all the bezel-less display model and Mi Mix 2, Xiaomi has used a slider module to improve upon the bezel-less display design.

The handset boasts a 6.39-inch AMOLED Full-HD display with a high volume of screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with a pixel resolution of 2340*1080 pixels and 93.4 per cent screen to display ratio. The earpiece on the Mi Mix 3 has been pushed to the top border of the display, while the front camera sensors have been placed on the slider module.

The camera on Mi Mix 3 is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature a quad camera setup. You will find a 12MP f/1.8 + 12MP f/2.4 telephoto dual lens at the rear. The lens combo has already managed to attain a score of 103 on DxOMark. Many new features are being added to the rear camera making it perform exceptionally better. The front cameras on the Mi Mix 3 packs a 24MP + 2MP dual-camera for the beautiful selfie. The camera slides up from the back of the display. There are multiple AI modes supported by the front shooter.

The flagship device from Xioami has been powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. There is multiple RAM and storage option available for the device. The least being 6GB of RAM which goes way up to 10GB of RAM. The device now also supports wireless charging up to 10W.

Mi Mix 3 Prices

The Mi Mix 3 will be made available in three colour variants, namely Onyx Black, Jade Green, and Sapphire Blue. The new smartphone will retail at 3,299 yuan (Rs. 35,000) for the base variant with a 6GB+128GB, 3,599 yuan (Rs. 38,000) for the 8GB/128GB variant, and 3,999 yuan (Rs. 42,000 ) for the 8GB/256GB model.

Xiaomi is also offering a special edition of Mi Mix 3 which it calls Forbidden City Special Edition model, which comes with 10GB of RAM along with 256GB internal storage. This device comes with a price tag of 4,999 yuan (Rs. 52,000). There has been no word on the international availability of the Mi Mix 3 nor the pricing. The 5G variant of the smartphone is scheduled to be released in Europe next year.

The Mi Mix 2 was propelled with 5.99-inch 1080 x 2160 pixels show and there was a 3400 mAh battery on the back to control the gadget. In the engine, the handset was outfitted with Snapdragon 835 SoC and the best end show accompanied 8GB of RAM alongside 256GB of interior stockpiling. There was a solitary 12MP back confronting camera with Dual LED double tone streak and was joined by a 5MP forward-looking camera.
