The Vivo V9 smartphone which was supposed to launch on March 27th was preponed to March 23rd. But the device is now officially launched in Southeast Asian markets. The new Vivo V9 is now officially launched in Thailand and company is all set to unveil the device in the Philippines today. The smartphone sports a metal frame with curved glass on the rear. The Vivo V9 looks similar to iPhone X with a notch on the front and vertically aligned dual rear camera setup.
The smartphone is made available in Black Ceramic and Gold colour options. The display on the smartphone is a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The FullView display on the VivoV9 comes with 90% screen-to-body ratio with very minimum bezels.

The smartphone is powered by 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB using MicroSD card. The camera on the smartphone comes with 24MP front selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and support bunch of fancy features. The camera on the smartphone features AI and AR tech. On the rear is a 16MP+5MP dual camera setup with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone is now capable of capturing better portrait mode photo because of AI Boken mode. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0. This could be one of the first devices in Vivo to come with latest Android out-of-the-box.
The placement of all the buttons and slots are on both edges of the smartphone. The Vivo V9 comes with 3,260mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone comes with almost all connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio, USB OTG, FM Radio and the smartphone also retains the 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone has a MicroUSB 2.0, weighing at 150gms the device seems to be a little on the heavier side.
