Xioami just launched the Redmi S2 smartphone in China. The device is been priced at 999 Yuan which makes it the most affordable smartphone with dual cameras. The design and looks of the smartphone stay similar to every other Xiaomi device. The back of the smartphone looks more like Redmi Note 5 Pro with vertical dual camera setup. Today, Xiaomi India teased a launch of new smartphone which will be selfie oriented in India on June 7th. Xiaomi has launched its selfie smartphone Redmi Y1 last year and the teaser video showed up #Real Y smartphone is coming, which gives a clear indication of Xiaomi Y2 making its way in India.
There could be a high probability that the company might launch the recently launched Redmi S2 in India as Redmi Y2. There has been no official confirmation as such. The expected price of the smartphone is to cost under Rs. 12,000. The teaser video has an image of the smartphone which looks quite identical to Xiaomi Redmi S2.
Specification of Xiaomi S2
The smartphone is made of a metal unibody and comes with a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with 3GB and 4GB of RAM with two storage variant option of 32GB and 64GB. The smartphone has a triple card slot for adding two SIM card and one MicroSD card at the same time. The smartphone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with MIUI 9. The camera sensor on the smartphone is a 12MP+5MP dual camera on the rear and a 16MP single camera on the front. The device is been backed by a 3,080mAh battery. The smartphone just measures 8.1 mm in thickness and offers face unlock and fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0 port. The device is made available in 3 different colour option Gold, Rose Gold and Gray. Stay tuned for more updates.
