Vu Televisions yesterday launched its very first Android TV range in India. The 4K Smart TVs operate on the latest and licensed operating system by Google and Vu calls it Vu Official Android TV. The TV is been launched in three different sizes. All the three models come with 4K UHD panels, two 10W speakers in an integrated sound bar, voice control support and other features. The new set of Android TV series by Vu seems to have launched to take on Xiaomi’s entry into television market with their three different models. The Mi TV 4 55-inch by Xiaomi is priced at Rs. 39,999 in India.
Vu Official Android TV specifications
The televisions run on Android 7.0 Smart OS and come with built-in Google apps, including the Google Play store, YouTube and Netflix. There are a bunch of other apps as well which include Facebook Video, Sony Liv, Hotstar and ALT Balaji. All the three variants of Android TVs come with activity voice-control enabled remote controllers which let users search, browser and select different languages. These TVs also offer built-in Chromecast features. All the three variants offer great sound quality all thanks to its DTS True Surround and Dolby Digital audio support and feature an integrated sound bar with two powerful 10W speakers.
The Vu Android TV series comes in three different models – 55-inch, 49-inch and 43-inch and offer same specifications but come in different panel size. All the TVs come with IPS panels with 4K resolution and refresh rate of 60Hz, 450-nit brightness and 8-bit colour panel. All the models are powered by a quad-core processor with 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one headphone jack, one AV component port and one RF input.
Vu Official Android TV series price in India
The Vu Official Android TV 55-inch (55SU138) price in India is Rs. 55,999. The 49-inch (49SU131) model is priced at Rs. 46,999, while the 43-inch (43SU128) model is priced at Rs. 36,999. All three models will be available to buy via Flipkart and Vu flagship stores on Friday, March 16. The prices of Vu still seem to be competitive when compared to Mi TV 4, however, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 also offers HDR support but the type of community Mi has to build up in India, it would be good to see where Vu television stay in the game.
